This is my first time reading this author, I know it's #13 in a series, my bad. The story plotline stands alone, though I realise I've missed all the character growth. 2022 will be my year to go back to the beginning as I'm hooked. Detective Josie Quinn is quite well known so I'm guessing she's solved some high profile cases. She and her husband were such likeable characters. I want to know more about them. The story seemed so fresh, so I'm guessing the previous 12 books were just as good. I loved that I had no idea whodunnit or why and the author wove this tale so well. Great story, I highly recommend it.
