I loved this story, it was so twisty that I had no idea.

A submerged car with the remains of two bodies starts off a search that went from a missing couple to a double homicide.

It was so hard to put down as Josie and her team dug into evidence and witnesses from 7 years ago. Someone must be lying and it's going to take good detective work to get to the bottom of this mystery.

I really enjoy this author's mind as she weaves her tale. Little breadcrumbs throughout that I missed until the end, but that's good as I loved the surprise I got.

I also enjoy the insight into the characters personal lives, proving they are not robots always switched on.

Fantastic story, I absolutely loved it.

Josie arrives home to her home trashed! Where is her husband and dog. I like despite her fear she was in cop mode searching her home and noticing changes of missing items.

Evidence has this crime connected to her case so she's on forced leave. Hunting for clues herself it appears to be connected to her life long ago.

I loved watching all these pieces fit together, connections from long ago and crime in the present day. Evil never dies it appears in the offspring.

The days tick by, is Noah gone for good? That was the scary part for the continuation of this series. I just raced through this book, the final chapters...chef's kiss I loved it.

Oh my goodness I was hooked from the beginning. A little different and a slow build but I was intrigued and couldn't wait for the author to put all the pieces together.
The new cop on their squad is such an inappropriate dude, I think he's there so we can all despise him.
As for the crime of murder, so many subtle clues to keep us guessing until the end.
I did not see that twist coming and I'm so glad I was clueless.
Exciting story and a wonderful glimpse into their lives outside of the daily horror they witness.
This one is not even out yet but I can't wait for the next story.

Once again this author does a brilliant job, was it him, her or the other person? I never know until Josie starts putting the pieces together and giving the facts.
I've only read of few of this series, but I feel this one is different. A little slower to take off but I was still glued. A bit like being locked in a room knowing someone is the killer. Trapped in a blizzard this odd group of people are slowly running out of supplies and patience. A body is found and the mystery begins. No one else can surely get up to this snowed in place so the killer is in the room. Who is it and why?
Noah is trying hard to get to his wife and runs into his own issues. His life is also in danger.
What an exciting ride this story was. The characters are great, not sure about the new cop, time will tell where the author is taking him.
I highly recommend this series.

Holy Moly! What a twist, I did not see that coming and I loved it.

Detective Josie and her team are called in for two missing sisters, a teen and a child. There are rumours at the local school of the "woodsman" is he real or fiction? Is there a serial killer in their midst?
I loved how the author wove this tale, the clues that didn't quite add up leaving the reader guessing. The characters, their grief of a lost team member still haunting them makes them so human and real.
I totally immersed myself in this story and couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this series.

Whatever I say, a review cannot give this story justice.
So many pieces of a jigsaw, interconnecting and yet not making sense.
A plethora emotions in this story.....no! how could you? to aha I knew it, oh no I didn't at all. Red herrings everywhere and I loved that I was clueless to how this murder mystery would finally unravel and make sense.
Poor Josie was put through the ringer on this one, in danger over and over.
I finished this story last night and my heart is still racing as I pen my review. How can I move on to another story, I'm still both upset and happy that it's solved.

I love it when I don't know who or why. There were some red herrings here and I loved how it all fell into place towards the end. This story had me from the beginning, even not liking most of the characters had me enthralled...who would be next to fall?

 The perfect couple in this story are perhaps not so perfect. Lies and secrets, all will be revealed. This story is not the norm I think for this series, though I haven't read them all yet. I loved every moment though and read the book straight through this lazy Sunday afternoon. Brilliant, I'm looking forward to the next story.
