5 star reviews on all 4 books 💖💖💖💖💖

Bellamy's Command
I really love this series from Elle Jame's Brotherhood Protectors World.
This new team are based in Hawaii along with their K-9s.
Bellamy is first, he and his team have a mission in South America. It's not until they arrive that they see who or what is their mission to collect.
Octavia was his first love, declared missing and dead 5 years ago. She's alive but not safe, her suspected killer is still hunting her.
This story was fraught with danger, truths are about to surface. They will have to fight for a second chance and to both stay alive.
Such an exciting story, I'm really looking forward to the next story in this series.

Cooper's Command
I'm loving reading about this team, Cooper is the next main character. He and DEA Agent Nova Martin have been seeing each other for a while. She's now being located in Hawaii and is due to connect with her new boss. Their meeting goes off with a bang and she is running for her life. Cooper and his team to the rescue and this becomes one action packed story. There is so much going on than is known at her level. Dirty agents and so much suspense. I loved every moment as they fought for love and justice.

Rusty's Command
I'm over half way through this team now and each story is a winner. Rusty bumps into someone from his teen years, Sienna doesn't recognise him after 18 years but trusts him to help her. Witnessing a crime she returns with him to the scene and it's game on from there. Bullets flying, danger is around every turn. Will they make it out alive? In roughly a day the action and running didn't stop, heart stopping moments kept me glued to my kindle. By the end will these two have a second chance at love? Great series, I can't wait for the final story and character.

Ethan's Command
Oh no, it's the last of this team, but luckily not the last of Elle James' overall series. Ethan and Brooklyn have a history that he's forgotten after an accident. But he's there as her protector when her nephew Liam is in danger. A kidnapping attempt has her worried and frustrated, what on earth does anyone want with a 12 year old boy. The Yakuza are after something that Liam unknowingly has, danger is around every corner of this story. Ethan and Brooklyn communicate and find out why he forgot her. Their second chance at love is on hold while the hunt for Liam continues. Just when you think it's over with about 15 minutes left in the story it goes from bad to worse with a chilling twist. Great story, I loved it.

Husband Missing: A completely unputdownable and heart-pounding mystery and suspense thriller (Detective Josie Quinn Book 22)

 by Lisa Regan

🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹

Josie arrives home to her home trashed! Where is her husband and dog. I like despite her fear she was in cop mode searching her home and noticing changes of missing items.

Evidence has this crime connected to her case so she's on forced leave. Hunting for clues herself it appears to be connected to her life long ago.

I loved watching all these pieces fit together, connections from long ago and crime in the present day. Evil never dies it appears in the offspring.

The days tick by, is Noah gone for good? That was the scary part for the continuation of this series. I just raced through this book, the final chapters...chef's kiss I loved it.

Fear prickles her skin. “Noah?” Photos and trinkets from their simple but perfect life together litter the carpet. The coffee table is cracked, blood along its edges. She should be taking in details, but her heart is racing too fast. A strangled cry works its way from Josie’s chest. Where is her husband?

Detective Josie Quinn’s world shatters when she returns home to find her house ransacked, and her husband, Noah, missing. When she kissed him goodbye hours earlier, called to the discovery of a woman’s body at a protest, they were putting the finishing touches to a nursery for their first adopted child. But now the house is empty, Noah’s bloodied handprints trailing the walls.

Every fiber of Josie’s being screams to investigate. But her team warn her to keep her distance as they follow a connection to a recent robbery in Denton. But Josie can’t quiet the voice telling her the handprints Noah left are leading her somewhere, and the trail ends at an upturned box of her long-dead abusive mother’s possessions: faded photos, jewelry, a lock of hair, and a few old newspaper clippings.

Beside herself with worry for Noah, and unexpectedly confronted by the trauma of her past, Josie throws herself into work. The woman’s body found during a demonstration outside a children’s hospital belongs to
Gina Phelan, daughter of the powerful and influential Phelan family. Trawling the CCTV is a welcome distraction, but everything changes the moment fingerprints from the knife that wounded Gina match to prints found in Josie’s own home.

Her head spinning as the two cases collide, Josie’s only option is to delve into the life of the monster who terrorized her as a child.
The key to everything is hidden in the box of her mother’s mementoes. But is Josie strong enough and fast enough to find it in time? And at what devastating cost to those she loves most?

Their Dying Embrace: A completely gripping and heart-stopping crime thriller (Detective Morgan Brookes Book 14)

 by Helen Phifer

🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡

Oh my goodness this story started with a bang, I won't go into the gory details.

I love a good crime story watching the police put the pieces together to solve the crime. A lot of it being gut instinct and experience.

This is a neighbour of the police and too close to home. A brutal murder that leaves the police baffled. Why, just why were the bodies positioned like that and who's next?

More people are hurt, are they close to discovering the crime and being silenced?

Such an engaging read, I couldn't put it down.

Morgan kneels beside the fluttering crime scene tape. Their hands clasped, the couple’s embrace looks loving and warm, but an icy chill grips the air. Their lips are blue, and blood is dripping on the floor. They have been silenced forever…

When sweet-natured teaching assistant Rosie Waite, and her boyfriend Matt, are found dead in their quaint family home in the Lake District,
Detective Morgan Brookes is horrified. Sleeping just two doors down, she heard no screams for help, no slamming doors, or alarms in the night. A twisted killer nailed the couple’s lips shut, and Morgan vows to keep watch over every innocent family in Rydal Falls until this monster is brought to justice.

Climbing the narrow attic staircase as she searches every inch of the property, Morgan finds a mattress on the floor, empty food wrappers, and a letter that reads:
if you’ve found this, you’re next to die. Fear washes over Morgan’s team; the killer was watching his victims, and now her life is at risk.

Ignoring pleas that she take a step back, Morgan throws herself harder at the case discovering that the nails used to bind the victims’ lips were pierced with expert equipment. And Matt had been asking questions at a local tattoo parlour. Everyone thought he and Rosie were a quiet, kind-hearted couple, but was Matt hiding a dangerous secret? Did he betray the woman he loved?

It’s the break Morgan desperately needs, until one of her closest friends is attacked. His lifeless body abandoned, crimson with blood, and Morgan believes the chilling crime scene is linked to Matt and Rosie. The killer has been watching from the shadows again.
Morgan’s used to putting her life on the line to protect the innocent, but what must she sacrifice to save the people she loves most? And how many precious lives will be lost before she can stop this killer?

Better Than Friends (The Sunrise Cove Series, 7)

 by Jill Shalvis

💖💖💖💖💖

Olive and Noah had a connection as teens, the timing was wrong. An incident changed their lives and she fled overseas.
Forward in time they find themselves in the same house. She's come home to help her best friend and sparks are flying.
Can these two work through their insecurities and get a second chance at love?
What a gorgeous setting this story was set in, though I had better than my imagination as I've seen this authors pics on her social media.
The story was easy to read, I settled in and laughed with the characters. They were real, flaws and all and you want them all to have their happy endings.
Fantastic story, I highly recommend it.

Old flames reignite in Sunrise Cove in this charming enemies-to-lovers, second-chance, small-town, forced-proximity love story about family, friendships, and true love from New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis.

When Olive Porter’s off-the-grid parents go missing, she reluctantly seeks out Noah Turner, her ex and the only person she both trusts implicitly and not at all.

As a special investigative agent for the National Park Service, Noah’s used to living under intense pressure. Or he was until he got injured on the job. Now unhappily recuperating at home while being smothered by his loving but nosy family, he’d love nothing more than a good distraction.

So when Olive shows up looking like a million bucks, he has to do a gut and heart check. Because nope, no matter what, he can’t fall for her again, the woman who once blew up his entire life and never looked back. How ironic then that his own personal hell (Olive) is also his ticket out of town. The question is, will the risk be worth the reward?
