The Honeymoon Cottage

 by Lori Foster

5 awesome stars  ðŸŒŸðŸŒŸðŸŒŸðŸŒŸðŸŒŸ

Bravo Ms Foster, as usual another extremely entertaining story. I devoured it over the weekend.
Set in a small town where everyone knows each other...and each other's business.
Yardley is a wedding planner in the town named Cemetery after it's founder. So ghastly when using the name within business names.
The characters in this town were a hoot, both old and young.
This young lady came to see Yardley to plan her wedding and brought along her older brother. As major eye candy he had hearts racing including Yardley's.
The fun adventures of these two, their friends and family as well as the whole town made for one fun filled tale of romance.
I laughed a lot reading this book and loved every moment.

She was fine arranging other people’s weddings…but life had other plans.

When it comes to creating the perfect happily-ever-after, Yardley Belanger is a bona fide miracle worker. From bridal bouquets to matching cowboy boots, the quirky wedding planner’s country-chic affairs have caused quite a stir in the small town of Cemetery. But when it comes to her own love life? She’s clueless.

Completely clueless.

Perhaps it’s for the best. The thirty-one-year-old has poured her heart and soul into her business, and doesn’t have time for anything — or anyone — else. And that’s something not even the gorgeous older brother of her newest client can change…right?

All Travis Long wanted was to give his little sister, Sheena, the wedding of her dreams. Ever since the tragic death of their parents, he’s done everything he can to make her feel loved and give her everything she needs. Still…a country wedding? In a place called Cemetery? But Yardley seems to know exactly what to do and how to do it — and Travis finds himself falling for her a little more each day.

Soon Yardley and Travis find themselves being nudged together by well-meaning locals who want to see the town’s favourite wedding planner get her own happy ending.

I've loved this series right from the beginning but this one was the cherry on top. I'm sad that it's the end but I'm sure this author will give us new characters and places to love. I was hooked and in tears from the first chapter to the last, sad tears, happy tears and heart wrenching tears. Oh my goodness this story had all the feels. This town is the place where you'd want to live, the characters are wonderful. Ms Sala just brought it to life, a visual delight in my mind. Young Carlie's story will have you teary all the way and there is also a second chance romance happening, both lots of characters weaving throughout the book. Sharon Sala I thank you for the entertainment and joy from this series and especially this finale. I've read your tales for years and can't wait to see what is next.

Dragon in the Dark: Kindred Tales 43

 by Evangeline Anderson

5 stars

Drake is our Monstrum Kindred in this story. He is a dragon in almost human form. Scales, horns and breathes fire. Dr Washington is a human, she's a botanist come to study and hopefully heal the plants that hold together the Monstrum Mothership. Thrown together on a secret mission to another planet, he must protect her with his life.
When I saw how long this book I thought oh no will it hold my attention all the way. Well it did that and more, time flew as I invested myself in this world and it's characters. There are not many books where I've been unaware of my train stops and I was inches from not getting off at my stop as I was so engrossed in this fantasy.
It's a fun series, naughty, corny and everything spicy that would make me select it.

A Drake warrior brooding in the Dark
A woman whose unique powers are just coming to Light
Can they survive the dangers of a hostile planet together?
Find out in…
Dragon in the Dark

*This is a Plus length novel--115,000 words long*
Dr. Iyanna Washington has landed her dream job—as a botanist aboard the Monstrum Mother Ship she will be able to study as many fascinating alien plants as she could ever dream of. But she’s been warned to stay on the Light Side of the ship during her studies. The Dark Side hides Monstrum so big and powerful they would frighten any humans who happened to see them.

Dra’vik happens to be one of those that humans must not see. As a Drake Monstrum, he is nine feet tall with horns and scales—naturally he thinks humans would fear him. But when Iyanna gets lost on the Dark Side of the ship, he finds himself drawn to the curvy little Elite with the creamy brown skin. She’s both beautiful and brave and she doesn’t fear his immense size or “devilish” appearance.

When the two of them are sent on a secret mission where they must pretend to be Master and pleasure slave, they find themselves drawn even closer together. But danger is in the air. Iyanna has proven to have special abilities and unique talents that are priceless to someone who would be happy to steal her away from the big Drake. And even if Dra’vik manages to save her, there are other obstacles standing in the way of their happiness—specifically the fact that bonding with a Monstrum Drake causes instant pregnancy.

Can Dra’vik save Iyanna from the danger that threatens her life?
And will Iyanna be willing to bond with the big Drake, despite the unique consequences?
You’ll have to read Dragon in the Dark to find out.

Author's Note: the heroine gets into some pretty scary situations in this book which may make you uncomfortable if you are a survivor of assault. Anyone who has read my books knows that it all works out in the end, but I wanted to warn you just in case. Please read responsibly!

Famous in a Small Town

 by Kylie Scott

5 stars

What a great read with easy to love characters.
Garrett is in mourning for his wife, it's been 2 years and he moves to their planned retirement home in a small town. His neighbour Ani is a fan and yet respectful, she has baggage of her own. As a small town the community look after each other, is he ready to come out of hiding and be part of the town?
Kylie does rock stars so well, even though it wasn't about touring it was real.
I enjoyed Garrett and Ani together, she wasn't part of that world and yet they could build a future.
Brilliant read, I hope there's more.

What chance does a small-town girl have with a world-famous rock star?

Two years after his wife’s death, rock star Garrett Hayes hasn’t moved on. But he has moved out of L.A. Where better to escape his past than a small town in the northern California mountains? If only he could get the townsfolk of Wildwood to leave him the hell alone.

Ani Bennet returned to her hometown for some much-needed serenity. The last thing she needs is a grumpy, too hot for his own good, rich and famous rock star living next door—and rent-free in her brain.

She set her fangirl tendencies aside and deleted his photo from her cell when they became neighbors. But when Garrett asks for help, she can’t say no. The problem is, spending time together is making those fangirl feelings resurface—and bringing them to a whole new level.

What chance does a small-town girl have with world-famous rock star? It’s time for Ani to set her fears aside and find out.

Protecting Eagle (Special Forces: Operation Alpha) (Prey Security Book 1)

 by Jane Blythe

 https://getbook.at/PreySecurity1

 5 stars
Jane Blythe always manages to have me in tears….sad, scared, happy and somewhere in between. PREY is the company run by a family of special forces and the like, combining their knowledge and skills to be a top Security company. I loved the introduction to Olivia and all the heart stopping moments surrounding her. You’ll be wondering who survives this story. I can see this is going to be a fantastic series and the teaser at the end makes me desperate for book 2.

First impressions can be hard to overcome.

Olivia Wakefield took the job at the prestigious and world renowned Prey Security under false pretenses. She always knew there was a chance she could be found out. What she didn't expect was for her sexy boss to put her in prison, or to find herself directly in the crosshairs of a dangerous terrorist. Now she'll have to rely on said boss to keep her alive, problem is she doesn't trust him.

Eagle Oswald takes his responsibilities seriously. There isn't anything he wouldn't do to protect his family and his company, including locking up the woman he hasn't been able to get out of his head since she came to work for him six months ago, even though his gut tells him there's more going on than meets the eye. When Olivia is threatened he will stop at nothing to protect her. Keeping her safe should be easy, earning her trust and winning her heart won't be.

Accidental Magic: Myrtlewood Mysteries Book 1

 by Iris Beaglehole

I'm giving this book five stars for pure entertainment. It's been a while since I read a witchy paranormal and I don't think ever a cozy one.
I loved the characters, both good and horrid. The quirky village and it's magical ways. Rosemary and her daughter returned for a will reading after Gran died or rather was killed. The house was magical and too many people wanted it's secrets. Rosemary was determined to get to the bottom of the murder of her Gran and free herself from blame.

I loved the ending, not so much a cliff hanger but a mystery of a missing person to solve hopefully in book 2

I was thoroughly entertained on a lazy Saturday afternoon engrossed in this story. I highly recommend it.

Welcome to Myrtlewood, a quirky town, steeped in magic, tea and mystery…

Life’s a struggle for Rosemary Thorn and her teen daughter, Athena. But their regular troubles are turned upside down after Granny Thorn’s mysterious death.

Despite her cousin's sinister manoeuvrings, Rosemary returns to Myrtlewood and the sprawling, dilapidated Thorn Manor. But there's more to the old house than meets the eye, as Rosemary and Athena soon find out — in a whirlwind of magic, adventure, mystical creatures and endless cups of tea.

Life in Myrtlewood would be bliss if Rosemary could only clear her name in a certain murder investigation, solve the mystery and stay out of mortal peril – for at least a little while!

A small town with endless secrets, strange activities and a house with a mind of its own.

If you love mystery, witches, magic and a big dose of humour, you’re going to love Myrtlewood Mysteries Book 1.

Country (Diamond MC Book 1)

 by Lila Rose

I’ve not read the other series so these characters are all new to me.
The age gap threw me at first seeing as she was only 19, though as we got to know her she grew up fast from her childhood. Needing a place to be needed and loved, Dusty endeared herself to the club members. Though her eye was on the Prez, Country was a bit slow, thinking her too young and sweet to be stuck with him.
Once I got into the story, drama unfolded in more ways than one. I couldn't put it down there as time was running out. Will they all survive?
Exciting story, I really enjoyed it.

I had her and loved the taste of her.
But she’s too young, too sweet and good.
I’ll keep her safe, and I want her happy.
Even if my own heart tells me I’m a fool for not making her mine.

Our few nights were electric. She left her mark and burned her goodness into my heart.
There’s no room left for anyone else, only her.
I can’t chase her. I have to let her go.
Sure, she’s a club girl and I could have her under me whenever I want, but I can’t do that to her. I refuse to pull her any deeper into the Diamond MC.

When that decision is taken out of my hands and she’s dragged into the darkness, all I see is rage and bloodshed.
I’ll make them pay. Every single one of them who thought they could steal her away, take her from me.

She’s everything.
And once I have her back, I’ll make sure I never let go.
She’s light and goodness.
Maybe she’s too good for me, but maybe she’s just what I need to balance my world.
I’ll give her everything and make her mine.
And just maybe she’ll make me hers too.

Warning: this book contains violence, offensive language, and very mature topics. Recommended for age 18 years and up.

Note: Book #1 in the Diamond MC series, though these characters have been seen in the mm Polished P &P series, you don't have to read them first to read Country.
