A Bride for Heddwyn

A Bride for Heddwyn (Songbird Junction Book 2)

 by Jacqui Nelson

BUY LINK  -  AMAZON

A sweet romance set in days gone by.

This is Oriole's story, her mission, her adventure and her love story.

A strong sense of family here, she will find her sister no matter what.

We have a clan of gypsies and a puppy thrown in the mix. A kidnapping and a bunch of bad guys all made for exciting story.

A well written journey of love and family, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Can a sister who’s lied to everyone find truth with the wrong man?
Secrets are everywhere…

From the moment she met her sisters in a Qu’Appelle Valley orphanage, Oriole has rewritten her past to protect her present. Now Lark is married, Wren is lost, and Oriole is on a mission to find Wren before their cruel and controlling troupe manager does. In order to succeed, she must cling to her lies and evade the only man she ever let come close, the fast-talking Llewellyn brother who deserted her without a word.

Second chances are few…

From the moment he first heard Oriole sing with her sisters in a Cheyenne saloon, notoriously scatterbrained Heddwyn Llewellyn’s desire to change gained focus. Until tragedy struck. To protect his brothers and sister, Heddwyn turned his back on love and the only woman who’d ever riveted his attention—all while refusing to talk to him. Now, after two years apart, Oriole’s finally back in his life and so is a shot at redemption.

The Songbird Sisters’ quest for freedom may have reunited Oriole and Heddwyn, but it’s also tearing them apart. Her sadistic troupe manager is more than happy to maim and murder to get his money-making musicians back. Can two hearts always on the run finally stand still long enough to save each other and their love too?

A note about story links: A Bride for Heddwyn is the second book in my Songbird Junction series. It includes characters (such as reader-favorite Grandpa Gus Peregrine) featured in my Noelle, Colorado, Christmas stories: The Calling Birds (set in 1876) and Robyn: A Christmas Bride (set in 1877). All of these stories are Western historical romances with a dash of mystery and a heap of adventure.

Kyle (Hope City Book 4)

by Maryann Jordan

Another entertaining read in this series.

Kyle and Kimberly made a fun couple. He's a cop, an alpha male and she's an independent woman who was raised by nuns. Could they be more opposite?

She's in danger and he's in full on protector mode. Was has she stumbled upon in her interviews and who wants her dead because of it?

Drugs, shifty characters and the money trail create an exciting story that keeps us guessing who is involved and what will the outcome be.

Great plot and wonderful characters, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Detective Kyle McBride battles to get drugs off the streets of Hope City and is sure someone at Kilton Pharmaceutical Company is key to the thefts of prescription fentanyl.

Bored in the marketing department of Kilton Pharma, Kimberly gets to use her journalism background to write human-interest stories about the employees. But her digging turns up more than she bargained for.

Working together, Kyle wants her information without involving her in his investigation, but never expected his heart to become involved.

Taking down the drug dealers is Kyle’s job… and that includes keeping Kimberly safe.

HOPE CITY... ONE CITY... COUNTLESS STORIES.

My Heart & Soul

My Heart & Soul: A Second Chance Sweet Romance Novel (Lyrics of Love Book 11) by Melody Sweet

I read this book when it was previously released. It was so enjoyable to read again. I read so much I'd forgotten the details.

Charlotte (Charlie) meets up with her old friend Nix (almost boyfriend) from high school. They parted suddenly 4 years ago and were both broken hearted. I kept saying for goodness sakes tell him why..tell him. But knew if she did, the story would be over. Charlie and Nix were opposites in personality but complimented each other so well. We know they are fated for each other, their dynamics were different while apart.

I was glued to my kindle reading this entertaining story. The story was beautiful and at times raw, I know I was teary at one point. The characters were believable and likeable and I still wanted more. Great ending for these two.

Charlie:
I never thought I’d get to see Nixon again. But there he is. The love of my life.
I’ve never gotten over our magical summer together. The moment we took our relationship from friendship to romance.
But then I had to leave him.
I can never tell him why, and I wonder if he’ll ever forgive me.

That’s why we have to do this road trip together.
I have to make amends for disappearing on him.
I want to make him understand that I never meant to hurt him.
Being around him is the most natural thing in the world. My heart is blossoming again.
Could this be our second chance?

Nixon:
Charlie—the girl I fell in love with in high school. The one who broke my heart.
I should have said no to this road trip, but I couldn’t refuse her.
She’s color. She’s light. She’s happiness.

But I have a girlfriend. I’ve moved on with my life.
So why is my heart yearning for what I shouldn’t have?
She left me without a word! She’s a total flight risk.
But she’s awakening my heart again, and I can’t deny the fact I’m trapped in a safe, boring life I don’t really want.

Will letting go of what I have be worth the risk? Or will I get burned again by the girl who nearly ruined me?

My Heart & Soul is a standalone novel in the Lyrics of Love sweet contemporary romance series. If you like stories filled with flirty-fun, heart-stealing romance and best friends who were made for each other, then you’ll adore Melody Sweet’s moving novel.

PLEASE NOTE: This book was previously published as Rather Be by Melissa Pearl. It has been rewritten and re-edited to this sweet romance edition. Enjoy!

Meanwhile an entertainer for the troops is in danger, someone wants her and is determined to take her. Dash is appointed to be her bodyguard and the chemistry is sizzling. He and the guys escort the crew to the next town when danger strikes again.
An exciting, action packed tale with plenty of loving. Great story, I loved it.

Ryan “Dash” Hayes has a penchant for breaking the rules. If it’s for the right reasons, and he doesn’t get caught, he won’t hesitate. I can't believe we're at book #6 in this series, I've loved them all. Two newcomers to the island, chef and trainee. What's their story and where do they know each other from? We go back and forth from now to two years ago throughout this story. The present day is the wedding preparation and the latter is Angus and Cherry's back story. Can they see what's in front of them or will Angus hold onto his hurt? A wonderful group of characters in this magical place. Great story, I loved it.

A very entertaining 5 star read:

Another very entertaining and totally over the top installment in the Kindred World. Samantha has the danger of a stalker in her life and her only escape seems to be off planet. Roark has emotional baggage and not looking for love. These two working together have wonderful chemistry. He's so in denial until circumstances and danger change their lives.

Hot SEAL, Undercover Groom (SEALs in Paradise)

 by Maryann Jordan

Amazon

5 stars

This was such a fun story to read.
Kind of a second chance romance, this couple knew each other as kids and teens, then 12 years have gone by and they're adults. They're thrown together while on a mission for his sister. Faking a marriage to investigate the books didn't quite go to plan. Fate had something in store for their lives while they discover compromise. Established careers, homes far apart will either make or break this couple. You know Ms Jordan is going to throw a spanner into the works and cause some drama and action in this romance too. Great story, I loved it.
