Their Resting Place: A completely unputdownable mystery and suspense thriller (Detective Casey White Book 8)

 B.R. Spangler

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is my first read by this author. Even though it's book #8 the story stands alone. I do want to go back though to see character growth.
What a horrid way to die...being hunted down and shot with arrows. We then go back in time and I could see who but not quite and not why.
As the victims fall we see their history together and the connection.
Dark and deadly secrets will be revealed.
Fantastic story line and wonderful characters. You won't be able to put it down.

Out in the field the tall stalks sway in the breeze, hiding a girl lying on the ground as if asleep. But she doesn’t stir when rain falls from the gray sky and lands on her soft cheeks. Her beautiful dark eyes stare up, unseeing, as her blood mingles with the rich brown earth.

When a member of
Detective Casey White’s team turns up at her door begging for help, Casey races to find the broken body of twenty-year-old Charlie Robson abandoned in a sunflower field. Yellow petals and broken stalks scatter the ground—and Casey immediately recognizes the red markings all over Charlie’s body as arrow wounds. Heartbroken, Casey vows to find the monster who would hunt Charlie down like this.

Interviewing Charlie’s distraught mother, Casey’s blood turns to ice when she learns about a tightknit group of Charlie’s best friends who once called themselves The Sunflower Girls. They met in archery club and have drifted apart since high school. Casey knows the killer is sending a message with arrows…
could the other girls be next?

But as Casey instructs her colleagues to track down the five remaining friends,
another girl’s body is found, shot with arrows in her own home. Clutched in her hand is a broken sunflower petal. Turning the house upside down Casey finds a bone-chilling, one-word note: Guilty.

Someone is picking off The Sunflower Girls one by one. But why? Interviewing the four remaining girls, Casey is certain they are hiding a dark secret that stretches back to their school days. Trusting no-one, Casey will have to risk everything to track down a deadly killer… but
with her own team keeping secrets too, could the real danger be much closer to home?

An unbelievably twisty rollercoaster ride that will have fans of Robert Dugoni, Kendra Elliot and Lisa Regan totally hooked until the last explosive page!

End of Story

 by Kylie Scott

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This story kept me entertained through COVID, what a week it's been and this cheered me no end. I laughed my way through this book from beginning to end. Susie inherits her aunt's home and sets about modernising it...or rather taking away the ugly after 3 generations. I loved the little spooky mystery with the finding in the wall and I have my doubts about that cat...or Kat. Lars is her ex's friend, her friend too. The huge Viking is also her handyman slowly bringing her house to life... and her ladybits. Their chemistry sizzled but their banter even better. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the brilliance of the author's storytelling skills.

New York Times bestselling sensation Kylie Scott’s sexy, smart and unconventional opposites-attract love story looks at what happens when fate refuses to give up on what’s meant to be…

When Susie Bowen inherits a charming fixer-upper from her aunt, she’s excited to start living her best HGTV life. But when she opens the door to find that her contractor is none other than her ex’s best friend, Lars—the same man who witnessed their humiliating public breakup six months ago—she isn’t exactly eager to have anyone around whose alliance is with the enemy. But beggars can’t be choosers, and the sooner the repairs are done, the sooner she can get back to embracing singledom.

Things go from awkward to unbelievable when Lars discovers a divorce certificate hidden in a wall and dated ten years in the future—with both their names on it. It couldn’t possibly be real…could it? As Susie and Lars work to unravel the document’s origins, the impossibility of a spark between them suddenly doesn’t seem so far-fetched. But would a relationship between them be doomed before it’s even begun?

Lucy Kendall Crime Thrillers - 4 stories

 by  Stacy Green

The Girl in the Pink Shoes: https://geni.us/B0BMB1ZY4Bsocial
The Girl in the Cabin: https://geni.us/B0BMB3MH9Bsocial

The Girl in the Pink Shoes 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Holy Moly I had no idea who the baddie was or how many players were in this story. On a hot 38c/100f Aussie Summer day I just settled on the couch and read this story straight through. I must say I'm already looking forward to reading much more of this series. PI Lucy is one kicka#e heroine, though perhaps bad for good reasons too. Question is do I love her or hate her, time will tell. The characters had so many connections as the author brilliantly wove this tale, I was thinking omg, it's him...no it's him...oh it's her...nope it's someone else and my head was spinning. Fantastic story, great characters and a well written plot. Bring on book 2....oh wait it's on my kindle :)

Little Lost Souls 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Lucy Kendall, PI and viligante is on a mission. To rid the city of the monsters that take children, though evil is a lot bigger than her. Even though her morals are in question, you still want her to win the battle. Someone in power in trying to frame her as she is obviously getting too close to the truth.
This is one dark and disturbing storyline, I can't wait to the next story to see where the author is taking Lucy.

The Girl in the Cabin 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I’m really enjoying this series. Lucy is our main character and her past baggage has make her what she is. Will the darkness take over her personality?
Her friend Chris is in trouble, she hears a gun shot over the phone and the chase is on. What has he gotten into? It seems he is more than he has revealed and she will have doubts about him.
The local police and the FBI are on the case. Chris is with his mother, the serial killer....just whose side is her on?
There are a lot of layers to this story and I enjoyed everyone that was peeled back. This story should be read after the first 2 to have an understanding of character growth and the murders surrounding them.
I really can't wait to see how book 4 plays out now.

The Lonely Girls 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Oh my goodness, what an ending to these 4 books that I binged. I didn't see it coming though I thought them odd.
The plot was brilliant, charactes all brought together in a horrifying way. The race before time ran out was crazy. I was annoyed to put my kindle away when I arrived at work.
I've loved this series, Lucy both annoyed me and yet I loved her. Her morals were skewed but for all the right reasons. Plenty of emotions in this tale.
I highly recommed this story but strongly suggest you start from the beginning.
