I loved this story, it was so twisty that I had no idea.

A submerged car with the remains of two bodies starts off a search that went from a missing couple to a double homicide.

It was so hard to put down as Josie and her team dug into evidence and witnesses from 7 years ago. Someone must be lying and it's going to take good detective work to get to the bottom of this mystery.

I really enjoy this author's mind as she weaves her tale. Little breadcrumbs throughout that I missed until the end, but that's good as I loved the surprise I got.

I also enjoy the insight into the characters personal lives, proving they are not robots always switched on.

Fantastic story, I absolutely loved it.

I couldn't put it down, especially the last half of the book. You'll be reading with bated breath wondering if they'll all survive.

Wonderful story

I was so happy to see the series title on here knowing that there will be more. This was a wonderful start with the eldest brother Ryder. Ryder runs a family construction business along with his 2 brothers. His sister has a food business and is struggling with life after the death of her husband.
Penny has moved home to her grandma to help with her younger brother after her mother has moved on again.
She's a chef who is very guarded after her last boyfriend turned violent.
This is their story of love and interfering families. Survival after childhood trauma's and finding trust in each other.
Ryder is a very swoonworthy character, just what Penny needed.
I really enjoyed their story so much.

My fave part:
I stared at him, knowing I wore a stupid, goofy smile. "And what exactly would I be saying yes to?"
His smile matched mine. "Only everything."

No one is going to convince her to fall in love again...

Ryder Colburn has his hands full running the family business and caring for the ailing father who’s a virtual stranger from the cold, heavy-handed man he used to be. He’s got zero free time for hobbies or women. Or so he thinks until one walks into his life… and the path of an oncoming car.

Bellamy's Command

I really love this series from Elle Jame's Brotherhood Protectors World.

This new team are based in Hawaii along with their K-9s.

Bellamy is first, he and his team have a mission in South America. It's not until they arrive that they see who or what is their mission to collect.

Octavia was his first love, declared missing and dead 5 years ago. She's alive but not safe, her suspected killer is still hunting her.

This story was fraught with danger, truths are about to surface. They will have to fight for a second chance and to both stay alive.

Such an exciting story, I'm really looking forward to the next story in this series.

Cooper's Command

I'm loving reading about this team, Cooper is the next main character. He and DEA Agent Nova Martin have been seeing each other for a while. She's now being located in Hawaii and is due to connect with her new boss. Their meeting goes off with a bang and she is running for her life. Cooper and his team to the rescue and this becomes one action packed story. There is so much going on than is known at her level. Dirty agents and so much suspense. I loved every moment as they fought for love and justice.

Rusty's Command

I'm over half way through this team now and each story is a winner. Rusty bumps into someone from his teen years, Sienna doesn't recognise him after 18 years but trusts him to help her. Witnessing a crime she returns with him to the scene and it's game on from there. Bullets flying, danger is around every turn. Will they make it out alive? In roughly a day the action and running didn't stop, heart stopping moments kept me glued to my kindle. By the end will these two have a second chance at love? Great series, I can't wait for the final story and character.

Ethan's Command

Oh no, it's the last of this team, but luckily not the last of Elle James' overall series. Ethan and Brooklyn have a history that he's forgotten after an accident. But he's there as her protector when her nephew Liam is in danger. A kidnapping attempt has her worried and frustrated, what on earth does anyone want with a 12 year old boy. The Yakuza are after something that Liam unknowingly has, danger is around every corner of this story. Ethan and Brooklyn communicate and find out why he forgot her. Their second chance at love is on hold while the hunt for Liam continues. Just when you think it's over with about 15 minutes left in the story it goes from bad to worse with a chilling twist. Great story, I loved it.

Josie arrives home to her home trashed! Where is her husband and dog. I like despite her fear she was in cop mode searching her home and noticing changes of missing items.

Evidence has this crime connected to her case so she's on forced leave. Hunting for clues herself it appears to be connected to her life long ago.

I loved watching all these pieces fit together, connections from long ago and crime in the present day. Evil never dies it appears in the offspring.

The days tick by, is Noah gone for good? That was the scary part for the continuation of this series. I just raced through this book, the final chapters...chef's kiss I loved it.
